Woohoo, another day long run on the training plan is complete. One step closer to marathon preparedness, although I have to admit, 15 seems a looooong way from 26. Oh well, one day at a time, right?

Here’s the breakdown:

  • Mile 1 –> 9:39
  • Mile 2 –> 8:42
  • Mile 3 –> 8:46
  • Mile 4 –> 9:08
  • Mile 5 –> 8:57
  • Mile 6 –> 8:59
  • Mile 7 –> 8:37
  • Mile 8 –> 8:48
  • Mile 9 –> 8:46
  • Mile 10 -> 8:41
  • Mile 11 -> 8:46
  • Mile 12 -> 8:50
  • Mile 13 -> 8:44
  • Mile 14 -> 8:49
  • Mile 15 -> 8:27
  • Average = 8:50 minutes/mile

My mom got this picture of me running from our lanai, across the valley with her 30x zoom camera.

Overall it was a good run. There were a couple of miles that were really sunny and I felt tired, but then I got to a shaded park and was rejuvinated. I ate raisins along the way, a Gu at mile 10, and lots of water stops at fountains in between.

A barbecue and beer are in my future 🙂 Have a happy Sunday!
